United States Imposes Sanctions on Belarusian Officials

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced today that the United States is imposing visa sanctions on 100 officials of the Belarusian government and their associates.

“Today, we are announcing visa restrictions on 100 Belarusian government officials and their supporters for their involvement in undermining, harming, or obstructing Belarus’s transition to democracy,” Blinken stated in a written announcement.

“The list also includes members of parliament, regional judges, security personnel, members of executive committees, and heads of state universities,” Blinken added.
