Russia Launches Earth Observation Satellite for Iran
Russia has successfully launched the Earth observation satellite "Khayyam" on behalf of Iran. The information was reported by "Roscosmos." The Iranian satellite for Earth remote sensing was launched to its target orbit with the assistance of the Russian "Soyuz-2.1b" rocket and the "Frigate" upper stage.
The "Soyuz" rocket took off from the Baikonur Cosmodrome at 8:52 AM Moscow time, carrying the Iranian satellite along with 16 small Russian devices.
