The U.S. to Conduct Exercises in Tajikistan

The United States Ambassador to Tajikistan, John Mark Pommersheim, welcomed participants today at the launch of the "Regional Cooperation-2022" exercises.

The exercises are set to take place from August 10 to 20 in the capital city, Dushanbe. According to the U.S. Embassy in Tajikistan, the exercises are being organized by the U.S. Central Command.

The aim of the exercises is to enhance regional security and stability, and to increase the capability to intercept weapons of mass destruction, terrorist elements, and drugs.
