Vahagn Vermishyan Transferred to Erebuni Medical Center After Health Deterioration
Former head of the Urban Development Committee, Vahagn Vermishyan, has been transferred to Erebuni Medical Center approximately a month after his health deteriorated. This was reported by Vermishyan's lawyer, Alexander Kochubayev, on his Facebook page.
Kochubayev noted that details will be provided following further examinations.
It is recalled that Vermishyan's condition worsened during a court session. The incident occurred shortly after the hearing began. Vermishyan had called on the court attendees to observe a moment of silence in honor of producer Armen Grigoryan, who had unexpectedly passed away in the same courtroom ten days prior at the Yerevan appellate court's central location. Judge Mnatsakan Martirosyan, presiding over the session, deemed this act disrespectful towards the court and decided to impose a judicial sanction against Vermishyan, ordering his removal from the courtroom for ten hours. Vermishyan was disturbed by the judge's conduct, which contributed to his declining condition. However, he was not transferred to the hospital at that time.
