UN Begins Organizing IAEA Inspector Visit to Zaporizhzhia NPP

The UN Secretary-General has begun organizing a visit by IAEA inspectors to the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (NPP). This was reported by Говорит Москва.

It is noted that the organization is extremely concerned about the situation surrounding the facility. “We are deeply worried that the facility could become a source of attack, and we have high hopes that the International Atomic Energy Agency will be able to send its experts there,” said UN Secretary-General’s spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric.

He noted that Secretary-General António Guterres is currently working closely with the IAEA and is providing support “in every way possible.”
