The Current Ceasefire Regime is Fragile: Cavusoglu Discusses Ongoing Processes Between Azerbaijan and Armenia
The Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu stated on Monday at the opening of the 13th conference of Turkish ambassadors in Ankara that "we are sincere in our efforts to establish friendly relations in the South Caucasus." Turkish media reported on his comments.
He noted that the conditions shaped after Azerbaijan's victory in the 44-day war are being utilized to establish stable peace in the region.
"The special representatives appointed by us and Armenia continue to meet. We do not present this separately from the processes taking place between Azerbaijan and Armenia and the efforts for resolution and cooperation in the region, which is our primary goal. The rising tensions observed in the region in recent days once again showed how fragile the current ceasefire regime is. During this time, our solidarity with Azerbaijan will be strengthened," Cavusoglu said.
