Taiwan Visit was Personally Pelosi's Decision: Biden
U.S. President Joe Biden has stated that China's actions following House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's visit to Taiwan are concerning, but he does not expect 'wrong' actions from Beijing. This was reported by RIA Novosti.
“I don’t think they will do anything reckless,” Biden told reporters. He noted that he is worried about China’s steps in response to Pelosi's visit, but he's not perturbed by them.
Biden did not comment on the visit itself, stating that the decision was made personally by Pelosi. Pelosi's trip marked the first visit by a U.S. House Speaker to Taiwan since 1997.
