Russian Border Guard Checkpoint Has Been Operating on Meghri-Agarak Road for 8 Months

Modular points have been installed by Russian border guard troops on the Meghri-Agarak road. This was stated by the mayor of Meghri, Bagrat Zakaryan, in an interview with 24News.

“The border guards periodically stop vehicles and carry out inspections,” said the mayor of Meghri.

Previously, Yerevan.Today published a photo and reported that Russian peacekeepers are already monitoring the Meghri-Agarak road, stopping all citizens, conducting checks, and then allowing them to continue.

According to Zakaryan, the modular checkpoints have been in place for approximately 8 months. The checkpoint was established for security reasons, and the Armenian National Security Service is also involved with the Russian border guard service.
