Artsakh Prime Minister Artak Beglaryan Makes a Statement
During the recent Azerbaijani aggression, our armed forces have repeatedly resisted Azerbaijani attacks and provocations. This was stated by Artsakh Prime Minister Artak Beglaryan on his Telegram microblog.
“Unfortunately, we have 2 killed and 19 injured, mostly due to drone strikes. I deeply sympathize with the families of Gurgen Gabrielyan and Arthur Khachatryan, and I wish the wounded a speedy recovery.
These incidents once again proved:
- The spirit of resistance of the Artsakh people is unbroken, and we are ready and capable of self-defense.
- Azerbaijan continues its policy of hatred and war, excluding the existence of the Armenian people at least in Artsakh and, in the future, in the Republic of Armenia.
- The international military-political guarantees and mechanisms, especially in this fragile world order, do not ensure the stable security of the Artsakh people, and we are forced to continuously raise our level of strategic stability.
- In the context of Azerbaijan's anti-Armenian policy, the end of the conflict is not in sight, and Baku will try to gradually improve its military-political positions in the region through regularly conducted provocations, insults, and various pressures, aiming for the depopulation of Artsakh. To this end, Azerbaijan employs various means, including:
- a) the use of force and the threat of force,
- b) the continuous improvement of its military capabilities,
- c) Turkey's involvement in regional relations on its agenda,
- d) the deepening of the isolation of Artsakh,
- e) the promotion of Azerbaijani theses and interests, strengthening Azerbaijan's role in the region and worldwide with false information flows,
- f) sowing and stimulating divisions between various parts of the Armenian people,
- g) instilling a sense of helplessness and despair in Armenians (primarily in Artsakh Armenians),
- h) worsening living conditions and creating obstacles in Artsakh,
- i) limiting and discrediting the Russian peacekeeping contingent and, in general, the levers and capabilities of Russia, especially among Armenians.
- Since Artsakh is of exclusive importance for Armenia and all Armenians, and considering the threats mentioned above, our only solution is the constant and rapid increase of the level of strategic resistance of Artsakh and Armenia, especially in the following areas:
- a) stable security,
- b) rising demographic indicators,
- c) growing economy,
- d) quality education,
- e) effective governance,
- f) national ideology,
- g) pragmatic international relations.
- To achieve all this, it is necessary to ensure stable and practical nationwide consolidation around the future of Artsakh’s Armenian population and the development and strengthening of Armenian statehood.
- If we lose Artsakh, we will turn the last, if not the penultimate, page of Armenian history.
I will present my more detailed thoughts on these issues and the exceptional importance of Artsakh (Artsakhism) for the Armenian people and the future of Artsakh in an extensive article to be published soon,” wrote Beglaryan.
