VIDEO: Israel to Call Up to 25,000 Reservists

The Israel Defense Forces will call up to 25,000 reservists. This was announced on August 5 by the country’s Defense Minister Benny Gantz, as reported by Izvestia.

“Based on the assessment of the security situation, it has been decided to mobilize up to 25,000 reservists to strengthen the southern command, air defense, logistics, combat units, command, and control unit forces. The reserves have been filled by the Defense Minister’s exclusive order,” the Defense Ministry’s press release stated.

On August 5, Israel began Operation “Dawn” against the Islamic Jihad. Strikes have been carried out in the Gaza Strip, and a special situation has been declared in border areas within Israel.
