The situation at the Serbia-Kosovo border has escalated, according to Russian media reports.

Gunfire has been heard, and an alert has been issued. Unconfirmed reports indicate that there are injuries on the Serbian side, as reported by Readovka.

According to News.ru, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić announced that the Kosovo police plan to conduct an operation against Serbs living in the northern part of the self-proclaimed republic at midnight.

"I believe that we have never been in a more difficult and serious situation than today. Why do I say this? The regime in Priština is trying to exploit the prevailing sentiments in the world by presenting itself as a victim," Vučić stated.

The Serbian leader also mentioned that Belgrade would do everything it could to maintain peace. However, he warned that if the Kosovo authorities begin to mock Serbian citizens, they would receive an immediate response.
