U.S. State Department on the Situation in Artsakh

The United States is concerned about the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh and calls for immediate measures to reduce tensions. This was stated in a statement by Ned Price, spokesperson for the U.S. Department of State.

“The United States is deeply worried about reports of intense clashes in the Nagorno-Karabakh region and is closely monitoring information about the fighting, as well as casualties and injuries,” the statement reads.

The State Department representative also added that the U.S. “calls for immediate measures to reduce tensions and prevent escalation.”

“The current escalation of the situation underscores the need for a coordinated, comprehensive, and sustainable resolution of all outstanding issues related to or arising from the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict,” the statement concludes.
