Ozuni Mayor Arsen Titanian Arrested

Ozuni Mayor Arsen Titanian has been arrested today on suspicions of concealing information in property declarations. The Prosecutor's Office has reported that the case is being investigated by the Anti-Corruption Committee. Law enforcement authorities have not disclosed further details.

Last year, following the parliamentary elections, Arsen Titanian claimed that Lori region governor Aram Khachatryan had demanded his resignation, and after refusing, he was assaulted by the governor's subordinates. A criminal case was opened regarding this incident, but it was suspended three months later due to lack of evidence.

During the preliminary investigation, it was revealed that the cameras installed in the corridor of the governor's office were non-functional and had not recorded anything about the incident. All witnesses had denied the mayor's claims of being beaten. In this case, law enforcement concluded that there was no possibility of obtaining evidence to uncover the case, and a decision was made to suspend it.
