What Goals Do Azerbaijani Provocations Pursue? - Movses Hakobyan

Azerbaijani provocations are aimed at implementing the November 9 agreement. This was stated by Movses Hakobyan, a military official of Armenia and Artsakh, in an interview with NEWS.am.

Hakobyan noted that the issue cannot be resolved through negotiations, which is why the adversary resorts to provocations. 'We understand how flawed the November 9 agreement is, which is why they are taking such steps. At this moment, the situation is not tense, but it is not calm either,' he said.

It should be noted that on August 1, starting from 09:00, Azerbaijani units attempted provocations in several sectors of the northern and northwestern border of the Republic of Artsakh, attempting to cross the contact line, which was thwarted by the forces of the Defense Army. There were no positional or human losses on the Armenian side. Detailed information about the incidents has been provided to the command of the Russian peacekeeping forces. Later, it was revealed that the Armenian side has one wounded soldier, Albert Vladiki Bakhsiyan, from the Defense Army.
