Artsakh Prosecutor's Office Appeals to the Public: Statement

Since August 1, in the northern and northwestern regions of the Republic of Artsakh, the provocative actions initiated and carried out by the Azerbaijani armed forces are part of a tactical step under the anti-Armenian political agenda and strategy aimed at the depopulation of Artsakh, which has already been raised repeatedly by the Republic of Artsakh.

This was stated in a message disseminated by the Prosecutor's Office of Artsakh.

“The Artsakh Defense Army has already presented the situation along the contact line and regularly provides information. Although the necessity of following only official sources in such situations has been repeatedly emphasized, we constantly witness acts of improvisation and unwarranted panic in similar cases. Public life in Artsakh is almost every day passing in an atmosphere of tension. In these conditions, state bodies are trying to organize healthcare, education, social security, and urban construction works, while the unnecessary portion of tension not only paralyzes these processes but also artificially creates additional burdens on these systems, as evidenced in recent days.

Therefore, to keep the internal security of the Republic of Artsakh and the normal course of public life safe from unnecessary shocks, we request that you refrain from disseminating information about the current situation along the contact line that is not in accordance with reality or unverified,” the statement said.
