Vitaly Balasanyan on the border situation

Currently, the situation along the contact line is stable. This was stated by Vitaly Balasanyan, the Secretary of the Security Council of Artsakh, in an interview with NEWS.am.

“The situation is normal in all directions. Gandzasar is 100 km away from the border. Follow the official reports,” he said.

It should be noted that starting from August 1 at 09:00, Azerbaijani units attempted provocations in several areas of the northern and northwestern border zone of the Republic of Artsakh, making attempts to breach the contact line, which were halted by the forces of the Defense Army. There are no positional or human losses on the Armenian side. Detailed information about the events has been provided to the command of the Russian peacekeeping forces.

Later, it became known that the Armenian side has one wounded: Defense Army serviceman Albert Vladik Bakhshiyan.
