Members of the ‘Armenia’ Faction Decide to Resign Their Mandates; Signature Collection Begins

The newspaper ‘J̌hoghovurd’ reports that the parliamentary opposition faction ‘Armenia’ has initiated a signature collection. According to sources from ‘J̌hoghovurd’, the members of the faction have decided to collect not only their own signatures but also those of all 153 members of the ‘Armenia’ alliance to ensure that if they choose to resign from their parliamentary mandates, it will apply to everyone.

‘This means that there won’t be individuals who might enter into some games with the government if their turn comes up to receive a mandate and agree to go to parliament under the ‘Armenia’ faction,’ our source remarked.

We reached out to Gegham Manukyan, a member of the ‘Armenia’ faction and affiliated with the Armenian Revolutionary Federation, for comments on this information; however, he declined to comment, saying, ‘No comment.’

Currently, according to the newspaper, it is only the allied wing of the ‘Armenia’ coalition that has submitted applications for all its members at once. In response to our observation, Manukyan replied, ‘Thank you for the evaluation.’

More details can be found in today’s issue of the newspaper.
