VIDEO: US Secretary of State Reveals When the US Would Consider Using Nuclear Weapons

The US Secretary of State Antony Blinken delivered a speech at the UN regarding nuclear weapons proliferation. He stated, “The number of nuclear weapons in our stockpiles is now almost 90% lower than at the peak in 1967.”

According to him, US President Biden and leaders of other nuclear-armed countries, including China, France, Russia, and the United Kingdom, have confirmed the principle that “nuclear war cannot be won and must never happen.”

“The US would only consider the use of nuclear weapons under extreme circumstances to defend the vital interests of the US, its allies, and partners,” he added.
