Serbia's President Appeals to the International Community
Serbia's President Vucic has appealed to the international community to influence the unrecognized authorities of Kosovo.
Alexander Vucic expressed hope that the situation in unrecognized Kosovo will de-escalate by August 1. He also thanked the Russian Foreign Ministry for its support regarding the situation in Kosovo.
Earlier, it was reported that the police in Kosovo are planning to conduct an operation at midnight against the Serbs living in the northern part of the self-proclaimed republic.
“I believe we have never been in a more difficult and challenging situation than today. The reason I say this is that the Pristina regime is trying to exploit the prevailing sentiments around the world, presenting itself as a victim,” Vucic stated. He added that Belgrade will strive to maintain peace at all costs.
