NSS on the Entry Ban of Raffi Hovhannisyan to Artsakh
Yesterday evening in Stepanakert, while heading to his grandson's baptism, the entry of former Armenian Foreign Minister and founder of the 'Heritage' party, Raffi Hovhannisyan, to the territory of the Republic of Artsakh was officially banned by the Russian peacekeeping forces.
Hovhannisyan considered it likely that the ban was imposed by the Armenian authorities. Civic.am contacted the Armenian National Security Service (NSS), where they stated that Armenia has no connection to the entry ban of Raffi Hovhannisyan.
"Raffi Hovhannisyan's entry was banned by the Russian peacekeepers at the NSS checkpoint. We ask you to clarify the situation with the Russian peacekeepers," they communicated from the NSS.
When asked how they would comment on Hovhannisyan's accusation that the ban might have originated from the Armenian authorities, the NSS responded: "We do not comment on Raffi Hovhannisyan's statement."
