Drones Escort Ukrainian Grain Ships to Turkey, Reports Say
The first convoy of 16 cargo ships carrying grain from Ukraine is set to reach Turkey's territorial waters on August 3, according to CNN Türk.
According to their information, the convoy will be escorted by drones. Additionally, representatives from Istanbul’s Joint Coordination Center will monitor the passage of the grain ships via satellite.
The news channel reported that under Ankara's initiative, the first grain ships will follow the shores of Somalia.
The Turkish Ministry of Defense announced on Sunday the completion of technical work for the organization of grain exports from Ukraine, which is planned to commence in the near future.
On July 22, a package of documents was signed in Istanbul to address the issue of food and fertilizer supplies to global markets.
