Azerbaijan Supplies Air Bombs to Ukraine While Remaining Neutral

Baku has supplied Kyiv with QFAB-250 LG guided bombs, according to Iraq's Sabereen News Telegram channel. The delivery was carried out via Sudan and Poland. The eight receipts obtained by Sabereen News indicate that the transfers were made through Ukrainian Meridian, which is linked to Ukraine's Ministry of Defense, and Azerbaijani-owned Jihaz Airlines.

Documents do not specify what type of bomb is involved, but it is likely that they are bombs intended for Su-24 aircraft. The QFAB-250 LG is designed for Su-24 attack aircraft. Azerbaijan actively used these bombs during the last war over Nagorno-Karabakh. They allow targets to be hit from a distance of up to 12 kilometers with only a 10-meter deviation, making them high-precision weapons.

If the information regarding the supply to Ukraine's armed forces is accurate, Ukrainian aviation has been able to conduct combat operations while staying outside the destruction zone of Russian short-range air defense systems.

Neither Ukrainian, Azerbaijani, nor Turkish officials have commented on this information. Additionally, there is no evidence that QFAB-250 LG bombs have been used by the Ukrainian army in its war against the Russian Federation.

It should be noted that Turkey is providing significant assistance to Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression. Ankara, in particular, supplies Kyiv with Bayraktar TB2 strike drones. At the same time, Turkey has rejected Moscow's requests to supply those drones.
