Albanians Are Preparing ‘Hell’ for Serbs in Kosovo, Says Serbian Foreign Minister
The authorities of the self-proclaimed Republic of Kosovo are planning new measures to annul documents and vehicle registration plates issued by the Serbian government, effectively creating ‘hell’ for Serbs in Kosovo, according to Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić. This was announced by Serbian Foreign Minister Nikola Selaković.
The government of the self-proclaimed Republic of Kosovo declared yesterday that as of August 1, documents issued by Serbian authorities would cease to be valid in the territories under its control, with holders being granted temporary entry permits. According to the statement, Pristina is thus nullifying Serbian documents as a measure of equivalency against Serbia. Mandatory re-registration of vehicles with Serbian license plates will also begin on Monday.
“Considering the current political situation in the country and the region, we have recorded serious concerns regarding the fact that the Albanian side is literally preparing to organize ‘hell’ in Kosovo and Metohija in the upcoming days. President Vučić will today meet and speak with representatives of Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, who are currently in an extremely difficult situation,” said Serbian Foreign Minister Nikola Selaković.
