A Bill to Supply Weapons to Taiwan from the U.S. to Be Presented for Congressional Review

Republicans in the United States Congress intend to introduce a bill dubbed 'Lend Lease,' which would grant the president the authority to provide weapons and equipment to Taiwan, as reported by Fox News.

"Taiwan needs to know that the United States will support it with defensive supplies, including armaments and equipment, regardless of what the Communist Party of China says," stated Senator Blackburn.

It is noteworthy that in May, President Biden signed a bill to supply weapons to Ukraine.

The 'Lend Lease' program was employed by the United States during World War II to assist countries engaged in the fight against Nazi Germany. The 'Lend Lease' Act was approved by the U.S. Congress in 1941 and signed into law by President Roosevelt. Through 'Lend Lease,' the U.S. was able to provide aid to countries involved in the fight against Nazi Germany without complex bureaucratic obstacles.
