Brother Stabs Brother in Gegharkunik: Details

On July 27, an extraordinary incident occurred in the Gegharkunik region. At approximately 22:15, the Sevan Medical Center notified the Sevan police that a citizen had been admitted with a "stab wound to the left side of the chest, hemopneumothorax."

According to Shamshyan.com, police found that the injured party is 25-year-old Garegin Kh., a resident of one of the villages in Gegharkunik. While doctors were providing medical assistance to the victim, Sevan police and investigators, led by investigator Davtyan, determined that at around 21:40 on the same day, Garegin Kh. was stabbed by his brother, 33-year-old Gurgen Kh., in their yard.

According to the doctor, the victim is unable to provide an explanation as he was in surgery. Sevan police and investigators quickly located Gurgen Kh., who was subsequently taken to the "Sevan" Mental Health Center based on a request from their mother.

The police and investigators have also found the weapon used in the crime. A criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident.
