Hand Grenade Detonated During Argument

Today, on July 27, an extraordinary incident occurred in the Syunik region. Around 00:50, operational information was received by the Kapan police department that an argument in the yard of one of the buildings in the Baghaberd neighborhood had ended with an explosion.

According to shamshyan.com, it was revealed that a 30-year-old resident of one of the buildings in the same neighborhood, Arthur Gh., had admonished a 35-year-old resident, Mher M., for driving his car recklessly in the yard, after which an argument broke out between them.

During the argument, Mher M. went home, retrieved a “hand grenade,” descended to the yard, and detonated it in an act intended to scare Arthur Gh. Following the explosion, Arthur Gh. physically assaulted Mher M.

The police discovered both individuals and presented them to the Syunik regional investigation department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia, where, upon the decision of the investigator, a proceeding was initiated, and Mher M. was arrested.

According to sources, fortunately, there were no injuries resulting from the explosion.
