17-Year-Old Stabbed Over Watering Dispute During Vardavar
On July 24, at 18:41, the police received a report from a hospital that an ambulance had transported a 17-year-old male with a "stab wound to the left flank." He indicated that he received the injury in a park adjacent to Tigran Mets Boulevard.
An operational-investigative group arrived on the scene and found that the stabbing occurred during a dispute at 18:30 near the Saint Gregory the Illuminator Church, when an unknown person attacked him with a sharp object.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident. Through joint operational-search actions by the Central Division of the police and the Yerevan City Department, it was uncovered that on July 24 at 16:20, there was a conflict over watering between the 17-year-old and 25-year-old twin brothers from Vanadzor in the park area adjacent to Tigran Mets Boulevard. During the dispute, one of the brothers struck the teenager with a sharp object.
As a result of measures taken by the Central Division of the Police, the brothers were located on July 25, taken to the station, presented to the investigative body, and confessed to the crime. The individual who inflicted bodily harm has been arrested.
An investigation is underway.
