Car Transporting Japan's Former Prime Minister's Wife Involved in Accident

The car transporting Akié Abe, the wife of former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, was involved in an accident in Tokyo. The information was reported by RIA Novosti citing the Kyodo agency.

The vehicle, which was carrying Akié Abe, reduced its speed, and a police escort vehicle collided from behind due to the driver's negligence. No one was injured in the accident, including Akié Abe.

It is reminded that Shinzo Abe was attacked on July 8 in Nara, Japan, while delivering a speech in public. The assailant, 41-year-old Tetsuya Yamagami, fired two shots at the political figure from a distance of about 10 meters. Abe was taken to Nara Medical University Hospital, where he died five hours later. The politician was 67 years old.
