Russia Launches Missile Strikes on Odesa Ports Amid Ongoing Russia-Ukraine Clashes
The Ukrainian armed forces report that the enemy has launched attacks on the commercial port of Odesa using "Kalibr" cruise missiles. Two missiles were intercepted by air defense forces, while two others hit port infrastructure.
According to the Ukrainian side, the enemy conducted such operations one day after the signing of an agreement in Istanbul between Kyiv and Moscow regarding the resumption of grain exports from Ukrainian ports.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine also stated that by striking the Odesa port, Russia is "spitting" in the faces of UN Secretary-General António Guterres and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The country’s Foreign Ministry emphasizes that the agreement for the export of Ukrainian grain was reached with the mediation of the UN and Turkey.
“It took the Russian Federation less than 24 hours to carry out a missile attack on the city of Odesa, casting doubt on the agreement signed the day before in Istanbul and the promises of the UN and Turkey,” the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry declared.
