Video: Badalyan's Health Condition Reported to be Dangerous, Says Babayan

Bloggers Mikhail (Mika) Badalyan's health condition is incompatible with detention, as he requires special care. This information was shared on the Telegram page of Arsen Babayan, a representative of the "Homeland" party.

Previously, Babayan reported that Mika Badalyan had been transferred to a civilian hospital. "Mikhail Badalyan's examination at the 'Republican' hospital has concluded. I cannot disclose the diagnosis as it is not permitted by law. I call on the authorities to release political prisoner Mika Badalyan immediately," Babayan wrote.

According to him, the health condition recorded for the blogger is dangerous. Babayan also published a video, stating that Badalyan had been moved to a hospital room.

Badalyan's lawyer Erik Aleksanyan also stated on his Facebook page that the defense is preparing a petition for the immediate release of Mika Badalyan from detention. "I call on the court not to allow delayed justice," he wrote.

It is noteworthy that Badalyan was apprehended on April 22 at Freedom Square and arrested. According to a statement from the Investigative Committee of Armenia, he had allegedly made a false report on his Telegram page on April 11 about the possibility of terrorist acts in Armenia to create an emergency situation, despite not having any information regarding a planned act of terrorism. Badalyan has been charged under Article 259 of the Criminal Code of Armenia (making a false report of terrorism).

Mika Badalyan was placed in custody on May 24, and on July 18, the court extended his detention for another 20 days.
