Mika Badalyan Transferred from Cell to Hospital

Bloger Mikael (Mika) Badalyan has been transferred to a hospital. This information was shared on Facebook by Arsen Babayan, a representative of the 'Homeland' party.

According to Babayan, Badalyan has been moved to a civilian hospital. 'After clarifying certain circumstances, I will speak in more detail about all of this,' Babayan added.

It is recalled that Badalyan was detained on April 22 from Freedom Square. According to a statement from the RA Investigative Committee, he had reported false information on his Telegram page on April 11 about possible terrorist acts in Armenia, creating an emergency situation, without having any data about a prepared terrorist act. Badalyan has been charged under Article 259 of the RA Criminal Code (providing false information about terrorism).

Mika Badalyan was imprisoned on May 24, and on July 18, a court ruling extended his detention by 20 days.
