NSS Response on the Entry Ban of Murad Frank Papazian and Passport Seizure

Member of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation Bureau and co-chairman of the Council of Armenian Organizations of France, Murad Frank Papazian recently announced that his entry into the Republic of Armenia is banned and his passport has been seized.

Radar Armenia sent a written inquiry to the NSS of Armenia to understand the reasons for the entry ban on Papazian, the duration of the ban, and when he would be able to enter Armenia. The NSS responded that this is a personal matter for Murad Papazian.

“The information violates Murad Papazian’s right to personal privacy, and therefore, based on the requirement of paragraph 2 of part 1 of Article 8 of the Law of the Republic of Armenia on Freedom of Information, the information cannot be provided,” the NSS stated. However, it is noteworthy that Murad Papazian himself disclosed the information about his entry ban.
