VIDEO: Explosion Occurs at Hoover Dam

An explosion has occurred at Hoover Dam, which is located on the border of Arizona and Nevada. This was reported on Tuesday by the local branch of ABC News.

Following the explosion, a fire that broke out was extinguished, the Boulder City firefighters' press service reported on Twitter. The incident was caused by a transformer blowout. Fortunately, there are no casualties or injuries.

Hoover Dam was built in the 1930s on the Colorado River, located just a few dozen kilometers from Las Vegas. The structure, standing over 220 meters tall, is one of the United States' landmarks and is registered in the National Register of Historic Places.
