Temperature to Decrease in Certain Areas
On July 20, the territory of the republic will continue to be under the influence of tropical hot air currents from the Arabian Peninsula, which will cause daytime temperatures in the Ararat Valley, the foothill areas of Aragatsotn and Vayots Dzor, and Yerevan to reach +38…+40 degrees Celsius.
The high fire danger situation will be maintained in the valleys and foothill areas of the republic. The intensity of ultraviolet radiation is expected to be above normal. It is advised to avoid direct sunlight from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
During the day on July 20, dry weather is expected across the territory of the republic. From July 21 to 25, brief rain and thunderstorms are anticipated in some regions. The wind will be southeast at a speed of 2-5 m/s. In Armavir, Aragatsotn, and Kotayk foothills, wind intensification of 13-16 m/s is expected in the evening hours.
The air temperature is expected to decrease by 5-7 degrees from July 22 to 24.
In Yerevan, dry weather is forecasted during the day on July 20 and from July 21 to 25. Wind intensification of 13-16 m/s is expected in the evening hours.
