Fatal Hit-and-Run in Abovyan: Mercedes Hits 34-Year-Old Pedestrian

On July 20, a fatal hit-and-run occurred in the Kotayk region. At around 21:25, Levon Vardanyan, a 21-year-old resident of the Kotayk region, hit a pedestrian, 34-year-old Nikolay Naghdalyan, with his Mercedes vehicle on Hatisi Street in Abovyan.

According to Shamshyan.com, the driver did not flee the scene and called the Abovyan Medical Center, helping to transfer the injured man to the hospital with the doctors who arrived on-site.

While the investigator was inspecting the scene, the Kotayk police received a call from the hospital reporting that the victim had died without regaining consciousness in the intensive care unit.

A criminal case has been initiated by investigator G. Dallakyan regarding the hit-and-run incident. By the investigator's order, the vehicle was taken to a specially protected area of the Kotayk police.
