Emergency Situations Ministry Issues Statement

The Emergency Situations Ministry (ESM) and the police’s canine and bomb disposal units have completed their search operations at the "Barekamutyun", "Marshal Baghramyan", and "Republic Square" stations of the Yerevan Metro, confirming that no explosive devices were found.

This information was provided by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia.

It is worth reminding that on July 20, at 12:57 PM, the National Crisis Management Center received a call reporting that explosive devices had been placed in the Yerevan Metro stations.

Specialized rescue teams from the ESM’s Rescue Service, including a canine unit and a team from the civil defense department, were dispatched to the scene.

By 1:30 PM, operations at the Yerevan Metro were suspended, and passengers and staff were evacuated.

Under the directive of the ESM Minister, Col. Armen Gasparyan, and the Deputy Director, Col. Tigran Petrosyan, were sent to coordinate the search efforts on-site.
