Azerbaijan Decides to Register Place Names of Individuals Born in Armenia in Azerbaijani Variants

Azerbaijan's government has decided that, when restoring civil status acts of individuals born in Armenia, the place names will henceforth be registered in Azerbaijani variants.

This information was reported by Tert.am, citing an Azerbaijani news agency.

According to the source, in accordance with this decision, the place names will be changed during the restoration of civil status acts registered in the Republic of Armenia, taking into account the suggestions from the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan.
