VIDEO: Severe Wildfires Rage in Spain

Wildfires are raging in the Zamora province of Spain. According to international news reports, over 20,000 hectares of forest have been destroyed by the fire across the country. There is one reported death.

It is noteworthy that unrelenting wildfires in southwestern France, Spain, and Portugal have led to the evacuation of thousands of people in recent days.

In particular, more than 12,000 people have been evacuated from the Gironde region of France since the morning of July 16. Over a thousand firefighters are involved in firefighting efforts. The fire currently covers approximately 10,000 hectares.

A similar situation exists in Spain, where firefighters are combating the blaze in temperatures reaching 45.7 degrees Celsius. In the town of Mijas in Malaga, more than 3,000 people have been evacuated, most of whom are being housed in temporary shelters.
