Meeting Held Under the Leadership of Prime Minister Pashinyan

A meeting of the Council coordinating police reforms was held under the leadership of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. The discussion continued on topics raised during the previous meeting's agenda.

Attention was drawn to the work on the establishment of the Patrol Service, as outlined in the strategy for police reforms. Issues concerning the structure of the Patrol Service, the vehicle acquisition process, and initiatives aimed at increasing the involvement of women in the service were specifically discussed.

Next, the new model of the territorial divisions of the police under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which is to be created, was discussed. Details were provided regarding the reorganization of regional departments, and coordination of the activities, structure, and functions of the territorial divisions were also addressed.

The Prime Minister noted that the police reforms are expected to lead to more optimal structures, the elimination of redundant functions, and salary increases. The head of the government instructed to continue the work within this framework, emphasizing the importance of the digitalization agenda and interactivity between state bodies.

The meeting also covered the implementation of procedures for reporting traffic violations through a mobile application, with relevant statistics presented. Ideas were exchanged on simplifying the implementation procedures of the system. In this regard, Prime Minister Pashinyan provided specific instructions.
