Today, on July 16, a stunt-like car accident occurred in Yerevan. Around 10:00 AM, 36-year-old Hovik Israelian, a resident of Armavir Province, lost control of his Mercedes E350 while driving from May 9 Street to Aragats Street, veered into the opposite lane, knocked down a concrete power pole, a traffic sign regulating the intersection, and came to rest on the sidewalk intended for pedestrians, crashing into the mesh fence of a nearby house.

According to reports from the scene by shamshyan.com, firefighters disconnected the vehicle from the power source. The driver was subjected to sobriety testing, which confirmed that he was intoxicated.

The head of the Shengavit Administrative District, Razmik Mkrtchyan, also arrived at the scene, where residents requested the installation of speed bumps at the intersection, citing a lack of safety due to frequent accidents. Mkrtchyan promised that the authorities would discuss this issue.
