Fatal Hit-and-Run in Ararat: 17-Year-Old Girl Dies at the Scene

Today, on July 16, a fatal hit-and-run incident occurred in the Ararat region. At approximately 05:40, the police department of Ararat received a call from the Ved Medical Center that a team of on-call doctors had been dispatched to a bridge in the village of Vosketsap and, before reaching the bridge, they discovered a body.

According to shamshyan.com, police established that around 05:00 on the same day, a driver of an unknown make and license plate struck 17-year-old Alvard A., a resident of the Ararat region, on the Yerevan-Eraskh highway at the 25 km mark, and fled the scene, leaving her helpless.

The police and investigative division are conducting necessary operational-investigative and joint actions to identify the driver who committed the hit-and-run and fled the scene, as well as to locate the vehicle.
