49-Year-Old Citizen Stabbed Near Davitashen Monument; He Has Died

On July 15, at 14:15, a citizen called the police to report that a person was lying on the ground near the park in the 2nd district of Davitashen.

At 14:50, the hospital reported that a 49-year-old man was admitted with "stab wounds to the chest." The operational-investigative group that arrived at the scene discovered that the man had been attacked with a cutting tool at the monument located between the 1st and 2nd districts of Davitashen around 14:00.

At 15:50, the hospital reported that 49-year-old Gagik Khachatryan had died.

As a result of operational-investigative measures undertaken by the detectives of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Yerevan city police and the Mashots police division, the identity of the perpetrator was determined. A 60-year-old resident of the 2nd district of Davitashen was located and arrested. An investigation is underway.
