Video: Arrested for Selling Drugs via Telegram

On July 13, officers from the 6th division of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Yerevan Police, specializing in the fight against pickpocketing, acted on operational information regarding illegal drug trafficking, collaborating with detectives from the Malatya division.

They discovered and arrested a 41-year-old man and a 20-year-old young man in the Hrazdan Gorge and brought them to the Malatya division. A personal search of the 20-year-old revealed eight packages of a substance resembling marijuana, while the 41-year-old had five packages of the same substance.

As a result of operational-investigative measures and investigative actions, it was established that they had acquired the packages via Telegram and had been selling them in various administrative districts of Yerevan. Expert examinations have been appointed. The circumstances are being clarified in the investigation.
