Tiran Khachatryan on the Appointment of Edward Asryan as Chief of the General Staff
When a person is removed from a position for certain reasons a year ago, and then is promoted multiple times and appointed Chief of Staff, it is clear that it speaks of a figurative deal. This was stated by Tiran Khachatryan, the former deputy chief of the General Staff, in an interview with 24News regarding the decision to appoint Edward Asryan as Chief of Staff.
When asked what deal he was referring to, Tiran Khachatryan declined to answer, simply stating, "Ask him."
In response to comments about reports in the media indicating that Edward Asryan was dismissed from the position of Deputy Chief of Staff in the Operational Directorate of the Armed Forces on September 27, 2021, due to his association with former Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan, where he addressed him as
