Temperatures to Reach +42 Degrees
The territory of the Republic continues to be influenced by tropical hot air currents from the Arabian Peninsula. The Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Armenia's Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center reports that during the daytime from July 15 to 20, the temperature in the Ararat Plain, the foothills of Aragatsotn and Vayots Dzor, as well as in Yerevan, will reach +39 to +42 degrees Celsius.
There is also an increased level of fire hazard expected in the valleys and foothills of the Republic. The intensity of ultraviolet radiation is anticipated to be above the norm. It is recommended to avoid direct sunlight from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
No precipitation is expected in the regions from July 16 to 20. Winds will be from the southeast at 2-5 m/s. In Armavir, and in the foothills of Aragatsotn and Kotayk, an increase in wind speed of 15-18 m/s is expected in the evening hours. On July 16 and 17, the air temperature is expected to rise by 2-4 degrees. In the capital, no precipitation is expected from July 16 to 20, with wind gusts of 10-12 m/s anticipated in the evening.
In Artsakh, dry weather is expected on July 15 and 16.
