VIDEO: Major Forest Fires in Turkey, Injuries Reported

Recently, a forest fire broke out in the coastal resort town of Datça, located in Turkey's Muğla Province. Due to strong winds, the fire rapidly spread through the surrounding forest on the peninsula. This information was reported by ermenihaber.am.

The fire, which has been ongoing for nearly a day and has not yet been contained, has approached the town's summer vacation area. Approximately 2,500 residents have been evacuated from 450 houses in the city's Mesudiye neighborhood. Some houses have suffered damage from the spreading fire.

The Turkish Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, Vahit Kirişçi, stated that the fire is believed to have started from an electrical substation. Turkish media outlets also report that the number of individuals affected by the fire has reached eleven.
