A Giant Wave Washes Away 8 Tourists in Oman

A powerful wave in Oman has swept away eight individuals from the ocean. The tragedy occurred on Sunday evening at Mugsyail beach in the Dhofar region. According to Al Arabiya News, a family of Asian tourists was vacationing at the site.

Three individuals were rescued immediately, while the bodies of two others, including one child, were recovered later from the water. Three more individuals remain missing.

Following the incident, Oman announced the closure of tourist facilities to prevent further fatalities or accidents.
