A War on Armenia's Roads Takes Hundreds of Lives Each Year: Badalyan
Political commentator Hakob Badalyan's remarks: “Isn’t it time for the state to take responsibility for road traffic safety? Do you keep track of how many victims there are? As I described years ago, there is a war on Armenia’s roads that claims hundreds of victims annually: hundreds of casualties from traffic accidents in a country with barely 3 million inhabitants. How many people suffer irreversible health and physical disabilities as a result of this is also a statistic that remains unknown.
What is most painful is that the so-called culture of road traffic in Armenia today has reached a level where traffic has turned into a mere threat moving through the streets.”
