Shots Fired at Journalist Tehmine Yenoqyans Apartment Window

Journalist Tehmine Yenoqyan has reported on her Facebook page that shots were fired at the window of her home, and earlier, the door to her residence was set on fire. She has filed a report regarding the crime:
“A report on the crime was made on June 29, 2022, around 12:30 AM, when an unknown weapon was fired at the window of our living room, shattering the glass and causing a bullet to enter our apartment. In connection with this incident, I contacted the police by calling 102, and officers from the Nor Nork police department visited our apartment, conducted the necessary actions, and took the discovered bullet with them. However, the crimes against me and my family do not stop here, as due to the ineffective measures taken by law enforcement bodies, we have faced further threats,” Yenoqyan wrote.

“On July 12, 2022, at around 12:50 AM, a second shot was fired at the window of our living room, again shattering the glass and causing a bullet to enter, damaging the ceiling and wall as well. I immediately called the police again. Before this, there was another incident where the door to our home was set on fire on the night of March 8 to 9, 2022. The police classify all these actions as property damage, rather than crimes against life. However, I view these crimes as part of a unified chain directed against me and my family, all occurring in the same location. Especially since the two successive shots cannot be seen as coincidence. It is notable that in both cases, my mother and I were present in our apartment, and there was no guarantee that these shots would not lead to our deaths, from which we have only escaped by sheer luck. This means that there are now recurring attempts on our lives, as I cannot reasonably hold any other opinion under such circumstances. The relevant authorities must initiate a criminal case based on crimes against life and health, rather than merely property damage.

We have appealed to the RA Prosecutor General and the RA Chief of Police, demanding a proper legal assessment and an effective investigation into the matter. I do not have any additional comments or interviews for the media beyond this published text; please do not call,” she stressed.
