Masked Individuals Bind Office Manager and Employee, Beat Them, and Steal Money
Four masked individuals threatened employees of a programming company on Papazyan Street in Yerevan with weapons and knives to carry out a robbery. Based on the report from the office manager, the Investigative Committee of Armenia has initiated a criminal case in the Arabkir division of Yerevan in accordance with points 3, 5, and 7 of part 2 of Article 252 of the RA Criminal Code. The office manager and employee have been recognized as victims and have been questioned. This information has been reported by the Investigative Committee of Armenia.
According to preliminary information, on July 11, 2022, around 5:40 PM, four masked individuals entered the aforementioned office, wielding an object resembling a gun and a knife, threatening their lives. They bound the hands and mouths of the office manager and employee with duct tape and plastic tubing, threw them to the ground, and beat them, demanding money. At that moment, a friend of theirs entered the office and was also beaten, after which the assailants fled the scene with what is preliminarily reported to be two mobile phones, a watch, the office manager's passport, 70,000 Armenian drams, and 600 US dollars, along with a driver's license and gold jewelry.
As part of the investigation, an examination of the crime scene was conducted, during which a gun-like object, duct tape, and plastic tubing were found and seized. By decisions of the investigating body, forensic medical and forensic genetic examinations have been assigned. Videos from the security cameras in nearby areas have been confiscated, several individuals have been questioned, and instructions have been given to the investigative body to carry out operational-investigative measures.
